Serving Children, Youth and Families
We support the spiritual and intellectual growth of children and youth within our church and community through a variety of programs. Our activities provide a safe, fun environment for children and youth to communicate openly, learn about faith, and develop as individuals.
Sunday School
Sundays | 10:00 am
The children begin the worship service with their families in the sanctuary. They are invited to join us for Sunday School after the choir anthem.
With the guidance of the Narrative Lectionary – adults, youth and children learn about the same scriptures, though in some different ways for each age group. Our goal is to encourage families to talk about the scriptures that we are all learning about.
The youth group, led by youth coordinator Sumer Lesser, has sharpened its focus and is the midst of planning both social and service-based activities.
2022-2023 Sunday School Curriculum
Narrative Lectionary Year 1 – “Guided by God’s Promises”
PreK/K (ages 3-5), Grades 1-5, & Youth Group – Grades 6-12
“Guided by God’s Promises” is a series by “Spirit & Truth Publishing” based on the scriptures from the Narrative Lectionary. This curriculum will explore the theme of God’s promises starting in Genesis and landing in the Book of Acts and Paul’s Letter to the Romans way off in May of 2023.
Vacation Bible School IS HAPPENING IN 2023!!!
June 26-30 | Time: TBD
Los Altos UCC hosts Vacation Bible School (VBS) every summer in June. Children from our church and community are invited to attend a week of Christian learning, games, skits, crafts, songs, snacks, and friendship.

Pilgrim Pines Summer Camp
Pilgrim Pines Camp | 39570 Glen Road, Yucaipa, CA 92399
Pilgrim Pines Camp and Conference Center, a ministry of the United Church of Christ, is located in Yucaipa, California on the southern slopes of the San Bernardino Mountains.
While Pilgrim Pines offers four sessions of week-long camp in each summer, most Los Altos UCC campers generally attend Week Three in July.

Winter Wonder Camp at Pilgrim Pines

Winter Wonder Camp is a Weekend Retreat held each year in January for Junior High and High School Campers. The retreat is held at the Pilgrim Pines Camp in Yucaipa.
